Welcom to the St. Patrick’s Festival Committee Web site

The theme of this year’s St Patrick’s Day parade in Drogheda is ‘Into the Future 2019’. The committee decided on the theme for Drogheda’s 33rd parade at a recent meeting attended by chair Anthony Lynch, director Isabel Sanroma, secretary Jayne O’Brien, treasurer Dessie Lynch, vice chair Liam Reay, security officer William Mahony, and committee member Phil Conyngham.

The parade takes place on St Patrick’s Day, Sunday 17 March, at 12 noon. Floats will assemble on the North Road and proceed down George’s street, turning left over Fair Street, then right at Clarke’s pub to proceed down Peter Street hill and Shop Street, finishing up on The Quays where the reviewing stand will be.
‘We are now accepting applications from businesses, community groups, bands or clubs, etc, who wish to take part,’ said parade director Isobel Sanroma, who stressed that space is limited to just 70 units. ‘We also welcome volunteers and those wishing to help out on the day. Again – make contact with a committee member.’

For further details, contact Isobel Sanroma on 087-1301398 or secretary Jayne O’Brien on 087-7561518.
